Natal Chart Reading: What It Covers and What to Bring
What a natal chart reading covers, from your Big Three to houses and aspects, what to bring, and how Sofia's online readings work from Hastings.

So you've heard someone say "it's my Moon in Scorpio" and thought: right, I need to know what my chart actually says. Brilliant. A natal chart reading is a really good place to start, and you don't need to know a single thing about astrology beforehand. That's my job.
I'm Sofia. I'm based in Bexhill-on-Sea, just down the road from Hastings and St Leonards, and I read charts online for clients round here, across the UK and back home in the Philippines. Here's what a natal chart reading covers, in plain English.
What is a natal chart?
Your natal chart (or birth chart) is a map of where the Sun, Moon and planets were at the exact moment and place you were born. Astrology is "the study of celestial bodies to understand their influence on human traits… based on birth positions." It's not about horoscopes telling you what Tuesday has in store.
I think of a chart as a map for action, not just awareness. It can help you understand your path, your patterns and your relationships, so you can make your own choices.

What a natal chart reading covers
Every reading is different, because every chart is, but these are the building blocks we'll look at.
Your Big Three
- Sun: your core identity, what lights you up.
- Moon: your emotional needs and how you look after yourself.
- Rising (Ascendant): your first impression and how you approach new situations.
Most people know their Sun sign. Fewer know their Moon and Rising, and that's often where the "oh, that explains a lot" moments happen.
Planets, signs and houses
A simple way to hold it: the planet is what (love, drive, communication), the sign is how it shows up, and the house is where in your life it plays out (home, work, relationships and so on).
Aspects
Aspects are the angles between planets. They show which parts of you get on easily and which ones rub along a bit more awkwardly. A good reading doesn't just list your placements one by one; it looks at how they talk to each other.
Your life path
My natal chart reading is called Pathway. It's an astrological reading of your life path, from your birth chart, to help you reflect on your purpose and your direction in life, love, career or travel.
You're welcome to steer it. If there's one area of life you're most curious about, tell me at the start and we'll give it extra time.
What to bring
Your date, time and place of birth. Please send these when you book.
Your birth time, if you can get it. This is the big one. Your Rising sign changes roughly every two hours and the houses shift every few minutes, so the time really matters. In England and Wales the time usually isn't on birth certificates (except for twins and other multiple births), so it's worth asking family or checking any hospital records you have.
A question or two. Career, a relationship pattern, a big decision, a "why do I always do this?" They all help steer the reading.
Something to take notes with. Or record the session. You're welcome to, and things come up quickly.
What a reading isn't
A natal chart reading won't tell you what's going to happen. It isn't a forecast, and it isn't fortune-telling. It's a framework for reflection and self-understanding, explained in plain English. Kunwento's tagline is "Rewrite your narrative," and that's how I see a chart: it helps you understand the story so far, so you can decide what to do with the next chapter.
How online readings work if you're in Hastings or St Leonards
All my astrology readings are online, by video call, so you can join from your kitchen in Hastings, your desk in St Leonards or anywhere else. They last 60 minutes. You can keep your camera off and record the session.
If you'd like to meet me face to face, I do in-person Akashic Records readings at The Little Gem in Bexhill-on-Sea and The Humble Heart in St Leonards-on-Sea. Details are on the Akashic Records page.
Where to go after your natal chart

FAQs
I don't know my birth time. Can I still book? Yes. You don't need an exact birth time to have a reading. Without one, some chart details, like your Rising sign and houses, are less precise, but there's still plenty we can look at. If you're unsure, email me at Weaver@kunwento.com before booking and we'll work out what's best.
Do I need to know anything about astrology? Not a thing. I'll explain everything as we go.
Do you read in person in Hastings? Astrology readings are online. For in person, I read Akashic Records at The Humble Heart in St Leonards-on-Sea and The Little Gem in Bexhill-on-Sea.
Which reading should I choose first? If you're new to astrology, start with Pathway (Natal Chart).
Will my chart tell me what's going to happen? No. It's for reflection, not prediction.
